Discussion:
undo window move/resize?

I sometimes accidentally catch the mouse cursor on a window edge or
title bar, resulting in an unwanted resize or move of that window.

I've learnt (though I don't remember ever reading anywhere!) that, if I
notice while the "mouse button" is still active, that pressing the
escape key will cause it to let go and the move is cancelled, but not if
the move/resize has been completed (i. e. I've "let go of the button").

Does anyone know of an "undo the last move/resize" function?

(This is a laptop with a touchpad rather than a mouse [hence the above
quote marks]; on the whole, I'm quite at ease with the touchpad, but it
_is_ rather easy to catch things accidentally. And yes, I've played with
the sensitivity and other controls in the "mouse" driver.)

And on the question of authorship, I subscribe to the view that the plays were
not in fact written by Shakespeare but by someone of the same name.

+1, but I think you've asked this before, and the result was negative.

I've just had to replace my mouse, because the previous Logitech M310
that came in a MK540 keyboard/mouse combo began double-clicking,
dropping drags half-way through, etc. I replaced it with an M330 after
searching for hours looking online for one that looked as though it
would be tolerable for someone with large hands and would be compatible
with the existing sensor for the keyboard and previous mouse. The M330
is, though I had to run a special program which only runs on W10 to make
it happen.

However, it's a bastard for accidental clicking and dragging as you
describe. TBF, probably it would be alright in many people's hands, but
I have larger than most and almost no mouse fits comfortably under them,
so I tend to hold them between thumb and second or third finger and work
the buttons and scroll-wheel with my index finger, but for this to work,
at the 'top' end, that furthest away from you with the buttons, room is
needed to accommodate your finger like so ...

xxxxx\ End of left or right button
xxxxxx| Inert part of casing to accommodate finger
------- Bottom surface

... not ...

xxxxx\ End of left or right button
------- Bottom surface

... and the old mouse was more like the top diagram, but the new mouse
is more like the bottom, hence my tendency to click accidentally, and
it's a bloody nuisance.

Sorry if I have. My memory's not what it used to be.

No built in function for that.

It'll have to be provided by additional software.

A custom made Autohotkey script can do it. Quick & dirty but working
solution.
