OT: Follow up on installing a Samsung EVO 860 500gb SSD in the laptop.

Used Easus to clone the Toshiba 320gb spinner, W7 o/s, via usb to the SSD.
It went well. No problems at all.
Removed the spinner and installed the SSD.
Disk access is approx 3x faster, the ssd runs cool- barely warm whereas the
spinner made a good hand warmer. Based on the battery meter the power
draw is much, much less, battery should last hours instead of 30 min.
Ran HDD Tune before and after. The difference in drives is obvious... and amazing.

Thanks for the info, wondered whether an EVO would be worth it.
